A woman blindly grasps for her way on a journey through darkness. Filmed in one continuous shot, BLINK uses the language of dance to ponder the most universal of voyages. It is the second collaboration between filmmaker Nathan Kim and Los Angeles Contemporary Dance Company under the artistic direction of Genevieve Carson.
Originally from the island of Maui, Nathan Kim is a Los Angeles based creator, teacher, and performer. His love for a wide spectrum of physical disciplines inspires his work capturing movement on camera as a filmmaker and cinematographer, teaching dance at Ryan Heffington’s Sweat Spot studio, and choreographing or performing for commercial and art-driven projects. Nathan pulls inspiration from themes of nature, community, mathematics, and mysticism; creating a diverse range of dance and music based films. His work has been featured at Tribeca Film Festival, Los Angeles Dance Film Festival, Dance Camera West and on Nowness.
