This session will focus on a quick background on the evolution of film formats and give insight into shooting super 8 today – what film stocks are available, what to look for in a camera, and info on Kodak’s brand new super 8 camera! Attendees will also get hands on experience shooting super 8 film at the end of the workshop.

Bio

Norwood Cheek is a nostalgic futurist – Enamored with super 8 film and fascinated by AR. He has directed many music videos, started the flicker film festival in Chapel Hill and Los Angeles, and created the 10×10 filmmaking challenge. He runs filmmaking workshops and programs at festivals around the world – focusing on youth and student outreach.
He lives in Los Angeles. He is a musician and a novice archaoeacousticologist.
