The creation of “Charades” was compelled by California’s passage of Proposition 8 which eliminated same-sex couples' right to marry. This found footage piece is a celebration of boy/girl identity and lesbian sexuality and is also an acknowledgment of the struggle and courage it takes to be seen for who one really is.
