Food, music, dancing and an outdoor Cucalorus film screening are coming your way Saturday during the 16th annual Festival Latino at Ogden Park.

The family-friendly festival, which takes place Nov. 8 and 9 at 7069 Market Street and  benefits local nonprofit organization Amigos Internacional, will give attendees an opportunity to experience the diverse Latino cultures of the Cape Fear Region. Festival-goers will have plenty of entertainment and cuisine options to choose from during the two-day event, including a food courtyard featuring dishes from throughout Latin America, live music and dance lessons and an array of exhibitors.

The Cucalorus crew will be on site to share information about the upcoming festival, and offer a free screening of a hugely popular Spanish film, “Zip & Zap and the Marble Gang,” at sundown. The film brings to life two of Spain’s most beloved comic-book characters – Zip and Zapwho are determined to enjoy their summer within the confines of a strict boarding school where fun is absolutely forbidden. When they make new friends and form the Marble Gang, their ongoing mischief and resistance to authority leads them to a mysterious secret, begging to be solved.
