Subversive satirist Mads Brugger’s latest is an odd-couple comedy about the pitfalls of striking out into the economic frontier; it charts two hapless Danes’ scheme to sell Saint Bernards to China’s middle class.

About the Director
Mads Brügger has directed “The Ambassador” (Opening film Idfa 2011, Sundance 2011, awards Prix du JURYJEUNES long-métrage, The ConScience Award, Robert best documentary) “The Red Chapel” (Winner of World Cinema Jury Prize Documentary Sundance 2010 and Best
Nordic Documentary 2009). He has also produced satire dock-series such as “Danes for Bush” 2004, TV-programs such as “The 11th hour” and daily Danish news program “Deadline. He has written several books, worked on journals. Brügger is known for his special journalistic method, where he involves himself personally and infiltrate environments he wants to dig into. In 2011 he became head of the newly establish public service radio, Radio24syv.
