Icare is a 9-year-old only living with his alcoholic mother, who calls him Zucchini. After an accident, he’s sent to a group home. He slowly becomes comfortable there and through friendships with a young girl named Camille and Raymond, a well-meaning policeman, Zucchini finds the strength to overcome his own personal tragedy and embrace life. Based on a book by Gilles Paris, this is the director’s first feature-length, stop-motion animated film. Recommended for ages 12 and up.
