In this up-to-the-minute documentary, No Dress Code Required tells the story of Victor and Fernando, who run a beauty salon in Baja California, Mexico. Known for beautifying Mexicali socialites, for many of their customers they were a lovely couple, albeit gay, until they decided to marry and become the first gay couple in the state to fight for their rights in a place filled with homophobia and inequality. Facing a wave of criticism and outrage from the Mexicali City Council, through their struggle, they managed to open the eyes of the members of Baja Californian society and Mexico itself.
