Eager to escape life with her depressive single father, 16-year-old athlete Cyd Loughlin visits her novelist aunt in Chicago over the summer. While there, she falls for a girl in the neighborhood, even as she and her aunt gently challenge each other in the realms of sex and spirit. Stephen Cone is a Chicago–based filmmaker, educator and actor. His film Henry Gamble’s Birthday Party, currently streaming on Netflix, was featured in The New York Times “Anatomy of a Scene” series, screened in the prestigious BAMcinemaFest and was the winner of the Silver Q Hugo Award at the 2015 Chicago International Film Festival, while his prior film The Wise Kids was a New York Times Critics Pick and won the Outfest Grand Jury Awards for US Feature and Screenwriting. Stephen has just completed his latest feature, Princess Cyd, now playing festivals worldwide.
