Alexandre, a firearms instructor at the Canadian customs-officer college, returns to his small-town home after his employer places him on compulsory leave due to a sexual misunderstanding. As he forms a new friendship with a female Icelandic drag racer, Alexandre finds himself under surveillance by police investigators trying to get to the bottom of the explicit drawings troubling the locals. Philippe Grégoire’s unconventional, auto-fictional debut is an absurdist shaggy-dog comedy full of irreverent shifts.
