Bio
Alex is a director, writer, producer, editor, actor, lyricist and acting teacher. After graduating from the American Musical & Dramatic Academy, Alex made his professional acting debut starring in the national tour of Neil Simon’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Lost in Yonkers. In 1997 he began work at the acclaimed Barrow Group theatre company, where he met his wife, Hillary Baack, whom he directed in her acclaimed one-woman show, Birth Story. He has written several plays, including The Losers and Lost in the Woods, which was commissioned by the Toy Box Theatre Co. Driven by a life-long passion for cinema, Alex formed Force Studios to create movies for all audiences and produced and directed the independent features, Untitled: A Love Story, Hollywood Musical!, and You & Me. Alex is currently developing a slate of new projects, including Portraits of Genie, The Schmilsson Movie, Helen, The Little Things, George II, Story of My Life and Belittled.
