Campfireball is a hand stitched, multiform storytelling project that pursues new and old methods of entertainment, surprise and engagement in an effort to connect everyone to everything. The live experience is one head of the Campfireball dragon. Imagine The Flaming Lips and A Prairie Home Companion are married at a wedding presided by Mr. Rogers. Campfireball utilizes a host, a narrative-connecting tissue, and the power of collective experience to weave any form of self-expression imaginable (comedy, film, music, dance, lecture, poetry, etc) into an immersive, space-time specific event. Open to the public.
Cory Howard lives in Los Angeles where he hosts Campfireball and works with the Story Pirates, an arts education company that teaches writing to kids and then performs their original stories. He is deeply indebted to/in love with Cucalorus who has supported and given so many amazing opportunities throughout the years, particularly for his work with The Superkiiiiiiiiiiiiiids!, the former Wilmington-based comedy-duo with collaborator Jonathan Guggenheim.
