Nearly three decades after helping shape the Chapel Hill music scene, quintessential indie rockers Superchunk (whose adventurous output runs the gamut of early punk rock stompers, polished mid-career masterpieces, and even some lush curveballs) sound empowered to start a fiery revolution with their acclaimed 11th album, this year’s “What a Time to Be Alive.” Cucalorus is thrilled to present this vital foursome—vocalist/guitarist Mac McCaughan, bassist Laura Ballance (both founders of the influential Durham label Merge Records), guitarist Jim Wilbur, and drummer Jon Wurster (any Best Show fans out there?)—for an unmissable concert performance.
VIP Tickets include access to the VIP Lounge prior to the show, including free refreshments!
Opening is Norwood Cheek’s band Cardinal Family Singers, called by Giant Robot Magazine the “kind of melodic, melancholic pop that makes headphones warm with stereophonic fidelity.”
