Calling All Men, Women, Ring-Leaders and Puppies!

With only three weeks until the 18th annual Cucalorus Film Festival, we are seeking creative and dedicated individuals to join the passionate team of ambidextrous do-gooders for a wide range of positions.

Cucalorus is looking for an all-star cast of volunteers to fill over eighty positions at the annual festival this November. Cucalorus will host a Volunteer Recruit Rally on Thursday, October 18 6-8pm at the Cameron Art Museum. This is event is an informal way to learn more about opportunities to become involved in the 18th annual festival. Volunteer positions are available in all departments, including box office, transportation, hospitality, technical, and operations.

We lavishly compensate our volunteer recruits with festival passes, interpretive dances and an abundance of karma points. If you would like to volunteer, but cannot attend this event, please contact our Operations Manager Jason Sargis at operations@cucalorus.org

MORE ABOUT THE CUCALORUS FILM FESTIVAL!

HISTORY: In 2011, Cucalorus screened 180 films from 14 countries and received 1,033 entries from all over the world. Accumulated attendance at the annual festival has been over 10,000 since 2008. At last year’s festival, more than 300 artists were in attendance to perform or share new work.   For about three weeks in late October and early November, Cucalorus expands into a major institution with more than 100 staff and volunteers, dozens of event venues all over the region and a four-day public festival for celebrating the artform.

CUCALORUS is a festival that is run on the manpower of a billion people, with a staff of only a dozen.

We could not deliver such a spectacular array of film, dance, and music without the in-kind hours donated by our dazzling volunteers. So now is the time to get involved with the great community of Wilmington, North Carolina. Come sign up this Thursday at the Cameron Art Museum and get ready to roll your sleeves up!
