Kind of like a ‘think tank’ held in a neighborhood cinema. Our main brain-storming machine.

This informal gathering takes place the first Wednesday of every month and is a gathering point for staff, board, artists, volunteers, community members, and anyone interested in tasting a bit of Cucalorus. These gatherings manifest as a hybrid between many recognizable forms.

At times, Main Brain is where we plan future work and talk through key issues on the horizon or sit back and watch films. At other times, Main Brain is a forum for gathering creative input - like coming up with names for the next Cucalorus Film Festival shorts blocks. Curiosity is welcomed and weirdness is encouraged. This is a space to get together, be creative and learn from each other at Jengo's Playhouse!
