WILMINGTON –– Jengo’s Playhouse will host IRL Movie Club’s screening of The Thinking Game this Sunday, February 2nd, chronicling the extraordinary life of visionary scientist and Nobel Prize laureate Demis Hassabis. Tickets to this special screening are only $5 and attendees will have a chance to learn more about the In Real Life Movie Club, an in-person, non-profit movie club created for Americans to gather regularly, connect with their local community, and together explore trending topics through the lens of independent documentary film. The Thinking Game will screen at arthouse theaters across the country on February 2nd. The Thinking Game delves into the creation of one of the world's most prominent AI labs, where Demis and his team made history with AlphaFold, a groundbreaking program that solved a 50-year grand challenge in biology. AlphaFold is already having a global impact by accelerating the development of revolutionary new drugs and paving the way for future advances in science. Follow along as the team celebrates the exhilaration of historic breakthroughs like AlphaFold while also facing the crushing weight of disappointment during setbacks.
